Australia's own V Festival lands as usual in Sydney, the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth in March/April 2009. Over two huge weekends, music fans of all ages and persuasions come together to clap eyes on some of the best live talent including The Killers, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Duffy, Elbow, The Do and more.

V Cares

Not only did we serve up a smashing lineup at V Fest 2008 - we also had a bunch of awesome environmental achievements, which we are just as proud of. Some of these were glaringly obvious to punters (such as our recycling bins) others, were a little bit more discreet (like our leftover food in artist catering donated to local food charities). So now we are well on our way to becoming one the most green (with envy) festivals that this country has to offer. So while you were sweating it out to the likes of The Presets and Queens Of The Stone Age, we were busy trying to ensure that we left the place, even greener and cleaner than before the entry gates even opened.

Our biggest achievement was to power our entire Sydney site with renewable energy to tip our hats to our pals at Earth Hour. We pulled zero power from the grid and kept more than 35,000 fans jumping, eating, drinking and partying entirely thanks to enviro friendly power. We even managed to get some of our grumpy crew to get around the site on bicycles!

In 2009, we are getting our hands even dirtier with new initiatives that will surely warrant us an extra gold star on the fridge and we'll keep you posted so watch this space.
