THE KILLERS - MTV EUROPE MUSIC AWARDS

Las Vegas vagabonds, The Killers recently played the MTV Europe Music Awards where they performed their new synthed-up single, Human. The track is four amazing minutes of swooping grandeur that sees Brandon Flowers' ask the question "Are we human, or are we dancer?" a line inspired by a quote by Hunter S. Thompson about how America was raising a generation of dancers. It's tearing up the radio worldwide but their performance at the MTV Awards was something special. Stretching stage design to new levels, the band played out their epic sing-a-long anthem set inside steel boxes and accompanied by stunning three dimensional visuals, an absolutely mental display by any measure. Flowers appeared strutting a leather jacket festooned with flowers that received some negative attention early in the year from animal rights activists. However, he was quick to explain.
"It's made by a woman named Fee Doran. She goes by Mrs. Jones. She's an English woman, and she's a very kind of eccentric woman," Flowers said. "She's done clothes for everyone from Kylie Minogue to the Scissor Sisters and this one too. There's no fur in it. I don't think anything was butchered for my jacket."
