KAISER CHIEFS - JAY Z SEAL OF APPROVAL

Whilst chewing the fat with XFM, drummer to the Kaiser Chiefs, Nick Hodgson bragged that hip-hop mogul, Jay-Z was a big fan of the band and that he loved their new record, Off With Their Heads. The rapper recently had the chance to listen to the album when he met up with Mark Ronson (who took on production duties for record) on tour.

Infact, Jay-Z even made it down to the Chiefs gig at Webster Hall in New York where he rubbed shoulders with The Strokes' bassist Nikolai Fraiture to watch the Leeds troupe lay out a mind-shredding set.

Hodgson told XFM "Mark played Jay-Z the album because he was on tour with him at some point. We got the Jay-Z seal of approval, which was nice". His bandmate, vocalist Ricky Wilson has added "It was a coliseum-style thumbs-up". Hitting the sliders on the other side of the glass, Ronson pushed the Kaisers into their most expansive record yet, a certified gem that has garnered the attention of ears everywhere.
